Tapping into the Freelance Marketplace

Posted in Freelancer, Industry news, Learning, Events,

Between technological advancements and the rising costs of living in major cities, it has never made more sense to freelance. Businesses are also taking advantage of the trend towards more flexible styles of working and utilising the freelance marketplace.

Freelancers allow businesses to tap into the right talent to fill a specific need at a given time. Whether you need flexible cover, specialist expertise or an extra pair of hands, freelancers can be a great asset to your business and can lead to greater efficiency. But if this is new territory to you, you might be hesitant to make the shift.

There are a few things you should know if you’re new to working with freelancers to ensure you make the most out of the gig economy.

The Work Crowd and sister company Hanson Search will bring together industry peers to discuss best practice and top tips. In this workshop, we will discuss:

  • Common misconceptions about working with freelancers
  • Permanent versus freelancer: which is best and when?
  • How to get the most out of working with your freelancer
  • How to find freelancers, manage and pay your freelancer

The training will be led by The Work Crowd and Hanson Search CEO Alice Weightman, talent expert and entrepreneur with over 15 years’ experience headhunting in the communications and marketing sectors. She has worked with agencies and brands globally – from New York to Beijing – finding outstanding individuals and advising businesses on how to build all-star teams.

It will be an intimate workshop with a maximum of eight delegates to ensure our participants are actively involved.

Arrive 8am for a light breakfast prior to kick-off at 8.15am.
