- Photo: Include a photo of yourself. Candidates with photos are more likely to be engaged. If you are camera shy upload a favourite place instead.
- My Bio: This is what the client sees first so make sure you succinctly sum up who you are, what you offer, your key skills and value proposition.
- Career timeline and highlights: Highlight your successes, what you have achieved for previous clients and when.
- Payment: Do include your payment details so we can pay you. After all, no one wants to work for free!

- Uploads is where you can really have some fun! Include case studies and examples of work you have previously done. You can direct clients to these which saves you time providing examples of work to those interested. At the very least include your CV!
- Endorsements Get your experienced endorsed. Clients are 5 x more likely to hire a freelancer who has references from previous clients. Once you get 2 or more 5-star reviews, we will award you with an approved badge. You will also be rated more highly to clients.
- Tags: Tag your key experience and market sector so we can match you to the right projects..

We only charge a service fee once you win a project. We charge a 15% + vat service fee, which is a margin of the gross invoice value, you charge to the client, this is charged on all invoices. This covers the cost of marketing, running the site and allows us to offer support before and during the course of your work with the client.

Agree on deliverables: Get deliverables and timescales finalised and agreed upon.
Payment terms: agree on what you are going to charge and when, do ensure you have
incorporated our service fee. This is calculated as a 15% + vat margin of what you invoice the client.

Get a contract in place: We'll contact you and the client to get an agreed SOW in place.–
then ask you both to sign it virtually. This helps us make sure everybody gets what they're owed and
that the project runs smoothly.
Once signed we will upload a copy you can refer to in your contracts hub in your account.

form, please use your own personal trading details and The Work Crowd client accounts for payments:

Timesheets: You can create a timesheet from your timesheets hub in your account, simply send
it for a quick approval. You can then attach timesheets to your invoices.
Create an invoice: This needs to be done through the platform every time you invoice the
client from your invoice hub in your account with us.
Payment: You will be notified when funds hit our client account. If the work is complete ask
the client to release them to you or ask them to set up auto-release for future invoices.

indication of what you charge.

- Do ask the project owner what their budget is from the outset.
- Be clear about how you work, for instance, will you charge on deliverables, daily rate or monthly retainer.
- Brands tend to prefer an agreed fixed monthly fee based on a statement of work.
- Agencies tend to work with daily rates for an agreed period of time.
- Make sure you manage the client’s expectations; what you can deliver, to what deadline and for how much.
- Do factor in our 15% + VAT charge when quoting your rate. This is calculated and charged based on the gross invoice value to the client.
- There is a handy income calculator tool on your dashboard, but as a rule of thumb,
- if you aren’t VAT registered, divide what you need to earn by 0.82 to calculate the charge out rate to cover our service fee.
- If you are VAT registered divide what you need to earn by 0.85 to get a charge out rate to cover our service fee. You will be able to claim back the VAT we charge.
For GBP and EUR local transfers, there is no charge.
If the issuing bank is based outside of the EU or UK, then transfers will be sent via swift, and
International wire transfer fees will be applied.

If you are based in the UK, VAT will be added to our 15% service fee invoice.
When you are invoicing a client through the application, do check where their business is located and
the VAT or Sales tax rules between your own country of residence and theirs.
You can receive funds in the following currencies, which means you are able to directly raise an invoice
in them.

For some regions such as the UAE, we have a requirement to validate your ID and right to work
certificates.
