About us
We are a UK men's body care brand creating a new category: the complete body care system. Most men shower daily and still have rough skin, a neglected back, and a scalp they've never properly cleaned — not laziness, nobody ever built them a system worth following. We did: 10 products, two rituals, sold as kits. We launched our first batch this summer, we're selling, and we're now taking the story to mainstream media.
The role
You'll own press. Your job is to get SOLUM into the publications that shape what British men buy — and to land the bigger category story ("nobody ever taught men to wash properly") as features, not just product mentions.
- Build and own our media list across men's lifestyle (Men's Health, GQ, Esquire, Metro, JOE), national features desks, and commerce/shopping content (IndyBest, Mail Best, T3 roundups)
- Pitch the founder story and category angle for features and interviews
- Get our kits into "best of" roundups and gift guides (Christmas gift-guide season is an explicit priority — pitching starts in summer)
- Run product seeding to journalists and manage sample requests
- Advise on our affiliate setup so commerce editors can feature us
- Report monthly: pitches sent, responses, placements, and what's landing
You are
- A consumer PR specialist with 5+ years placing products in UK national and men's lifestyle media — you can show us the coverage
- Connected: named editors reply to your emails
- Fluent in how commerce/affiliate content works in 2026, not just classic editorial
- Comfortable as the sole PR person for an early-stage brand — no team, no juniors, direct line to the founder
- Bonus: grooming, wellness, or challenger-brand experience; ex-journalist background
