Write for a Leading Defence & Security Publication — Freelance
We're looking for a freelance content writer to produce in-depth, research-led articles for a specialist publication targeting senior military and defence professionals.
The role
You'll write 2–3 long-form articles per month (1,500–2,000 words each) on emerging themes, technologies and trends shaping the defence and security landscape. Topics are provided in advance as a brief, and the work is research-led with no requirement to conduct interviews.
About you
- Background in defence, security, military affairs or current affairs journalism
- Confident writing with authority on complex topics for a senior professional audience
- Strong research skills and keen attention to accuracy
- An understanding of the geopolitical and technological landscape influencing modern defence
- Given the nature of the source material, professional discretion will be required
The details
- Freelance, fully remote
- 2–3 articles per month at £300–£400 per article
- 3–6 month engagement
