The Lavery Events is looking for a freelance Event Supervisor to take ownership of on-site logistics for live events, from setup through to teardown. This is a hands-on, floor-based role: the Supervisor is the point of contact on site, responsible for keeping staff, suppliers, and guests moving safely and to plan, and for resolving problems as they arise. The role runs from the beginning of September to mid-November, on a contract or day-rate basis, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Management: Oversee event setup, live operations, and teardown/breakdown, ensuring the site is ready ahead of guest arrival and fully cleared afterwards.
- Staff Supervision: Brief, schedule, and direct front-of-house, floor, and stewarding teams throughout the event, keeping roles and coverage aligned to the run of show if required.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage suppliers, deliveries, and technical crew arrivals, confirming access times and load-in/load-out run smoothly.
- Compliance: Ensure health, safety, and licensing rules are strictly followed on-site throughout the event.
