Freelance PR Opportunity: Media Relations for B2B Fintech Client, UK
SJK Labs is looking for a freelance media relations specialist to support a fast growing B2B FinTech client.
SJK Labs is a narrative and communications consultancy founded by Sarah Kemp, a narrative architect with nearly 20 years' experience across journalism, agency, FTSE 250 businesses and high growth technology companies. We help ambitious companies build clear narratives and turn them into authority across media, humans and AI.
This is a focused media relations role.
The strategy, messaging, stories and written content will be developed by SJK Labs. The job will be getting them placed.
You'll be working with a mix of:
- Thought leadership bylines from 1–2 spokespeople
- Company news and press releases
- Reactive commentary and relevant media opportunities
You'll identify the right journalists and publications, adapt the pitch and angle for each outlet, pitch the story, follow up and manage the process through to publication.
We're looking for someone who loves media relations and is excellent at it. You know how to find the right journalist, understand what different publications want, write a sharp pitch and follow up without becoming annoying.
Experience pitching B2B, fintech, finance, small business, accounting or technology media would be particularly useful, as would existing journalist relationships.
This is an initial freelance project, but there is potential for ongoing work across other SJK Labs clients.
