We are a boutique growth consultancy for banks, brokers, insurers, and regulated fintech platforms. We build growth infrastructure, operating models, and decision frameworks for financial services firms navigating complexity.
We’re looking for a freelance PR specialist who can write compelling, newsworthy press releases and secure earned placements in relevant financial services and marketing trade media.
What We Need
Press release writing and targeted distribution on a retained or per-project basis. This is not wire syndication — we’re looking for someone who pitches editors directly and understands how to land earned coverage in trade and sector press.
Typical topics will include thought leadership around growth strategy, marketing effectiveness, AI governance, and performance measurement within regulated financial services.
Scope
∙ Write press releases from briefing notes or conversations with our Managing Partner
∙ Pitch and distribute to relevant UK and international financial services, fintech, and B2B marketing trade titles
∙ Provide a placement report with live links after each distribution
∙ Advise on newsworthy angles and editorial calendars
You Should Have
∙ Demonstrable experience writing PR for financial services, fintech, or B2B professional services
∙ Established relationships with editors at relevant trade publications
∙ A portfolio showing earned placements (not wire syndication)
∙ Strong commercial writing — clear, authoritative, no fluff
∙ Understanding of how PR supports SEO and brand authority
Nice to Have
∙ Familiarity with AEO (answer engine optimisation) and how PR feeds AI visibility
∙ Experience with boutique or founder-led consultancy positioning
∙ Knowledge of UK financial services regulatory landscape
Engagement Model
Flexible — project-based or retained. We’re looking for a long-term relationship with someone who gets the brand and can operate with minimal hand-holding.
