We are an award winning Public Affairs Consultancy offering an integrated campaigning approach to global businesses and trade associations in the technology, health and environmental arenas who are targeting the EU. Based primarily in Brussels, with a smaller presence in London, we are one of the largest independent consultancies in the city, drawing on a team with backgrounds in journalism, law, strategic communications and the creative industries.
This is a freelance opportunity for a highly credible Social Media Specialist who can act as the go-to expert within a multidisciplinary team advising clients on complex public affairs and communications challenges. The role will sit across a range of client accounts spanning health, sustainability, environmental and technology-related issues, with a particular focus on shaping social media messaging and content around sensitive political and public debates. Many of the campaigns will be connected to efforts to influence legislative outcomes within the EU institutions, so the successful consultant will need to bring sound judgement, strategic clarity and a sophisticated understanding of how digital communications can help shape opinion in nuanced and high-stakes environments.
You would be working alongside a well-established team of communications and advisory professionals, including former journalists, media strategists, crisis specialists and public affairs experts. In this context, the brief is to bring authoritative social media capability into the team, strengthening its offer to clients through strategic counsel, content direction and platform expertise. A strong background in B2B communications will be valuable, as will experience navigating politically sensitive subject matter and translating complex policy or sector issues into compelling, credible and influential social content.
