Robertson & Foley is an investment banking firm with headquarters in Charlotte. For more than 30 years we have employed a proprietary private auction process to sell high-value assets. This process invites buyer prospects to submit private bids at roughly the same time, then bids are simultaneously negotiated to a price and terms acceptable to the seller.
We have been exclusively engaged by Ms. Ilene Hochberg Wood to sell the Hochberg Wood Collection. This collection consists of approximately 8,000 handbags and represents the largest and most significant private handbag collection in the world. The selected PR firm will be responsible for creating general market awareness and generating interest among qualified prospective purchasers and investment groups. Robertson & Foley will conduct direct outreach to selected investors and strategic buyers (for example, global museum directors and trustees, luxury brand executives, and ultra wealthy investors).
Private auctions are run in short time windows. The selected PR firm will conduct its campaign during the last two weeks of September, 2026.
