Role Summary:
A global clean energy developer is seeking an experienced communications professional to lead corporate messaging, brand development, and internal engagement across international markets. This is a hands-on, strategic role that blends content development, media relations, brand marketing, and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications, Content Development & Messaging
Develop and implement the global communications strategy and messaging framework
Oversee media relations and coordinate global press activity
Support project and regional teams with communications advice and execution
Collaborate with the public affairs team on external messaging and C-level communications
Create simple visual content using tools such as Canva
Marketing & Brand
Lead a global brand review and messaging alignment following corporate strategy updates
Develop global marketing assets in collaboration with country leads
Shape and execute the organisation’s LinkedIn strategy
Maintain content planning, tone of voice, and visual consistency
Keep marketing tools and the corporate website up to date
Events & Brand Visibility
Assess sponsorship opportunities that align with strategic priorities
Coordinate internal and external events with support from the communications team
Internal Communications & Employee Engagement
Manage the intranet content calendar and oversee internal editorial planning
Collaborate with HR to implement employee engagement initiatives locally
Project-Specific Work
Lead and execute communications for a flagship development project, including press releases, social media activity, and marketing material coordination
Candidate Profile:
7+ years of experience in corporate communications or a related field
Able to navigate a global matrix environment with strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a natural flair for storytelling
Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to delivery
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Fluent in English; proficiency in German or French is a strong advantage
Priority Projects & Immediate Focus:
Lead internal alignment and agency collaboration for a full brand and messaging refresh following a strategic business shift
Manage communications for a key strategic project, including partner announcements and social content
Oversee press relations and support on media outreach
Deliver key internal and external events, including milestone anniversaries and seasonal employee engagement activities
Please note that the consultant could be located elswhere, as long as they are able to go into the office in Hamburg every 2-3 weeks
