We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability & ESG Consultant with an expertise in carbon accounting and CBAM reporting to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. This role demands a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of sustainability reporting standards to assist our clients in meeting regulatory compliance and enhancing their sustainability profiles. Your primary responsibilities will include leading comprehensive carbon footprint assessments across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 using international standards such as the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064. Additionally, you will support the development and delivery of ESG reports that align with leading frameworks like GRI, SASB, and ISSB.
In this role, you will also prepare CBAM reports for UAE exporters, ensuring they meet EU requirements and emissions verification standards. Part of your duties will be to assist clients with I-REC procurement and establishing robust MRV systems to ensure data accuracy for carbon and ESG reporting. Your advisory support will extend to shaping corporate sustainability strategies, such as setting targets, developing reduction roadmaps, and advising on offset and credit procurement. With a strong background in governance and net zero transition, your ability to liaise effectively with external verifiers and regulators will be essential in ensuring compliance and adapting to the evolving landscape of ESG regulations.
Located in either Abu Dhabi or Dubai, this position offers flexibility for hybrid work arrangements. The successful candidate will hold a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field, and bring strong skills in data analysis and sustainability reporting tools. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, providing insightful and strategic sustainability advice.
