Join us for a breakfast discussion hosted by specialists in sustainability recruitment and executive search, Hanson Search and The Work Crowd, Britain’s Green Ambition: Can Labour lead the charge?
Environmental issues present one of the most pressing threats to businesses we’ve ever seen. The World Economic Forum estimates climate change could shrink global GDP by 18% by 2050 if action isn’t taken, and across the UK, organisations are being called to radically rethink their operations to combat the growing climate emergency. This shift not only presents a huge challenge, but also a significant opportunity for both Britain and its businesses.
In the wake of Labour’s ambitious manifesto, join us for an exclusive in-person event, Britain’s Green Ambition: Can Labour lead the charge? Discussion will centre around Britain’s potential role as a climate leader, and how the Labour government might impact that over the coming years.
We’re bringing together a panel of sustainability, communications, and policy experts to share their insight on the topic. Specific talking points will include:
- Labour’s climate commitments, with a focus on the feasibility of Labour’s goals in practice, and the opportunities they present.
- The UK’s potential role in the global green economy more broadly. We’re asking, what is the broader implication for Britain’s green strategy, and what kind of impact will that have on the talent market over the coming years?
- Regulatory challenges surrounding the “Great British Energy” initiative, and how we can best balance public vs. private energy market regulation and industrial decarbonisation.
