As scrutiny around corporate sustainability intensifies, businesses face growing pressure to demonstrate real impact — and avoid reputational pitfalls. From greenwashing to greenhushing, the risks of getting it wrong have never been higher.
In today’s landscape, having a strategy or a story isn’t enough. The two must be aligned. That’s where collaboration between sustainability consultants and communications professionals becomes essential.
This session will explore:
-
Why strategy and storytelling must go hand in hand
-
How to strike the right balance between transparency and message control
-
The role of freelancers in helping organisations navigate this complex space
Speakers include:
🎤
Emma Fisher — Sustainability Communications & Events Consultant
Emma helps organisations design compelling sustainability communications and events that resonate with the audiences that matter most. She starts by getting crystal clear on what success looks like and asking the right questions to uncover the full picture. Known for her attention to detail and strategic thinking, Emma ensures that message, channel and timing all align — creating high-impact communications that move organisations closer to their goals. She loves working with small teams that have big ambitions and want to get the most from their investment.
Johnny leads the global Sustainability & ESG practice at Hanson Search. With a degree in Environmental Science and previous experience working in environmental consulting, Johnny has a real interest in the key sustainability issues faced by society, including carbon reduction, energy transition, climate risk/mitigation and responsible investment.
He has a pragmatic approach to the industry and enjoys partnering with forward-thinking organisations to deliver tangible, measurable impact to their sustainability ambitions.
